John Keister & Associates was founded in 1987 when principals John and Beth Keister, while working in technical and business roles within industry, saw the need for a search firm with a non-traditional approach to executive search.

John Keister co-founded John Keister & Associates in 1987 and is uniquely qualified as an executive recruiter in a technical world. He combines his knowledge of recruitment and placement practices, gained through more than 23 years of work in executive search, with several years of professional experience in the engineering field. As a mechanical engineer, John enjoyed a mix of technology positions within the aerospace, defense, and automotive industries. John remains active in the technical community and has been an invited speaker at meetings and other events.

Beth Keister is a co-founder of John Keister & Associates. With her analytical business experience and use of the latest technologies, Beth ensures that the search process proceeds expeditiously and efficiently for the client. Beth holds a Master of Science degree in Statistics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Her background in mathematics and statistics enabled her to hold a variety of technical roles in the insurance and not-for-profit fields. She has taught university level mathematics and consults with major educational publishers. Beth has a well-developed proficiency in information research and the Internet, and a tendency to promote mathematics as a way of life.
